Lawrence is a gangster from India, particularly hailing from the Ferozpur region of Punjab. He has over two dozen criminal cases, including cases of murder and extortion. Although he denied those allegations, his gang has been reported to have been affiliated with over 700 active shootings across the country of India. Lawrence Bishnoi is currently in custody at Tihar Jail.
Lawrence Bishnoi Biography
Lawrence Bishnoi was born on 12th February 1993 in a village in the Ferozpur district of Punjab. He was born into such a family where his father was a constable for the Haryana Police Force. His father left his job as a police constable to become a farmer, and this happened in 1997. Lawrence initial education happened in Aboha where he stayed till class 12, but then he moved to Chandigarh to pursue further education in DAV College.
When he was at Panjab University, he joined the Panjab University Campus Students Council, where he met Goldy Brar, another gangster, and with his influence, started to involved in University politics as well as committing crimes. He completed his LLB from the same university.
Criminal Background and Activities
Lawrence had his first encounter with criminal activities while he was a university student at Panjab University, the same university that gave him his LLB degree. There, he met Goldy Brar and with him, he used to participate in university activities and criminal activities.
He began his criminal activities in Chandigarh which forward after several first information reports, popularly abbreviated as FIRs, were filed against him for several heinous crimes like attempt to murder, trespassing, assault, and robbery. These crimes were recorded during the period between 2010 to 2012. All of these cases were related to his involvement in student politics during his time at the University.
Lawrence Bishnoi Case History
It alleged that after he graduated from Panjab University, he murdered the winning candidate of the elections of Government College in Muktsar and a rival candidate at the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation elections. Because of his crimes, Bishnoi often had to hide from the police authorities. In 2014, he had an armed encounter with the Rajasthan Police and after this, he was sent to jail from where he plotted murders and witnessed executions.
One of the most attention-grabbing cases of Lawrence Bishnoi was his alleged planning to murder famous Bollywood actor Salman Khan. He wanted to do that because of the Black Buck case in which Salman Khan has hunted a Black Buck. According to Bishnoi, the Black Buck is sacred to their community.
